In almost 50 kilometers long and 15 wide, are located the drawings and figures known as "Nasca lines", considered by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. The four lines include pampas: Palpa, Ingenio, Nazca and Socos located between km 419 and 465 of the Panamerican highway Sur.El soil of this region, one of the driest in the world, is brown, according to Maria Reiche - and under one another first layer is yellow. That is why it leaves a lasting tread a white spot, which is fixed forever. The figures are in a desert where the soil is not just sand but is covered with greenish-colored stones. Its enormous size and accuracy of its shape suggested by experts to be compared with the pyramids of Egypt.
